Salix udensis ‘Golden Sunshine’ is a natural yellow-leaved mutation of the species, found in Japan in 2005. This attractive, vigorous willow forms an erect, deciduous, hardy shrub. In early spring, small, pale, silver-yellow catkins show before leaves emerge. The lance shaped leaves appear chartreuse green in spring which turn a brighter yellow during the autumn prior to falling. This Japanese Fantail Willow makes a handsome large shrub for the back of sunny borders. Height: 4m (13′). Spread: 3m (9′).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
